THE ADLINGTON HOUSE

A HISTORIC TOWN. A HISTORIC HOME. AN ICONIC PROJECT.

The Adlington House (formerly The Auricht House) is a stunning period home build in the very early 1900’s for the then local Doctor and renowned community member –  Dr Theo Auricht.

Located in Hahndorf – a small, popular -and beautiful- tourist town in the stunning Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

Beyond Ink Architects were called upon the Adlington family who are the current homeowners to create plans to renovate the historic building and add a large modern addition to the existing structure.

What has resulted is nothing short of stunning – a beautiful clash of the old and new working together perfectly.

Master builder Neil Scholz (Scholz Constructions) allegedly came out of retirement to overseas the building work for his long-time friends and clients The Adlington’s!
