Documentary Film Project: High School Students Learning to Code in their Spare Time
Client: Government South Australia, Department of Education / Aberfoyle Park High School
Meet Chris Robinson!
Chris is the subject and hero of our story. He is a passionate teacher at Aberfoyle Park High School in South Australia. Chris is teaching his students coding during their lunch time breaks. The South Australian Department for Education asked us to produce a documentary film about what Chris and his students are achieving in hopes of inspiring more teachers at other schools to take the initiative and host similar classes.
Chris’ students program using a language called Python and have so far released many apps -mostly games- to the app store. Some students who have published their games are as young as 13!
It’s a great, inspirational story and what Chris and his students have achieved is fantastic. We hope to see them continue to do great things and more schools getting on board!
