*I highly suggest you read the whole article for the installation steps but if you want to skip to the download it’s at the bottom of the article!
Super quick post. Just wanted to try and save everyone some time as I’ve recently been doing the artwork for a few film projects and it came time to write the credits along the bottom of the movie poster..
After spending far too much time searching through what seemed to be about 50% of the entirety of the internet itself I finally found a free, super easy to download and use version of the movie poster credits font!
Join my newsletter! It’s just once every 6 weeks or so and only contains useful stuff
To install and use the font with windows:
- Download the .zip file
- Unpack (extract) the contents. I recommend using 7-Zip if you don’t already have a program to do this. It’s free and works great.
- You will see some .ttf files. These are the fonts. Simply double click to open them then click ‘install’ in the top left corner. Diagram below
- VIOLA! Your fonts are installed! Open Adobe Photoshop or your preferred editing software and take it for a test drive! Just select it from the drop-down font choice menu (it’s called steeltongs)
(Please note: There is also a ReadMe file included inside the download which also tells you how to install it on windows/mac etc)
