Project: Australian National Ninja Games Finals

Location: Adelaide, South Australia

Our long time and much loved client SA Basecamp brought us back for the Australian Ninja Games National Finals which they played host to in October 2019. We were brought in to capture the actions of Australia’s finest Ninja Warriors (Yes, the ones from the TV Show!) as they battled it out with the grueling course. There were also national childrens and Teens competitions.

Over the 2 long shoot days, we took literally thousands of images of the 120+ competitors and eventually delivered a whopping 1768 edited images!

This shoot has all the most difficult factors combined: Very little light (it’s a big warehouse/gym), Fast moving subjects, Varied movements, Little or no opportunity for additional lighting or flash, the shots cannot be repeated, often multiple subjects at one time!

In the end it all came together and our main photographer lost around 3kgs in the 2 days literally sprinting around the course with the camera.
